Our Story

APB Industrial Properties was founded by Andrew M. Kronfeld in 1999 to purchase multi tenant Philadelphia industrial properties that initially would be anchored by sister companies APB Transportation (www.apbtransportation.com) and APB Archives (www.apbarchives.com). APB’s first acquisition was Foster Miller Bierly Tire (70 K sf on 5 acres) in Tacony in 1999. Subsequent acquisitions were Quaker Rubber (44 K sf, 2 stories on 1 acre) in Tacony in 2001, Anchor Dye Works (75 K sf on 5 acres) in Frankford in 2004 and Tioga Pipe (53 K sf on 1.4 acres) in Port Richmond in 2011.

APB continues to own and operate these four properties while looking for acquisitions. Typical improvements to acquired properties include tailgate and drive-in doors, facades, perimeter and building security, roofing, offices, bathrooms, demising walls, electric services, interior and exterior lighting, storm water management, and floor, structural, masonry and foundation work. In all acquisitions APB has contracted to convert fire suppression systems from wet to dry and obtained lapsed sprinkler and sprinkler alarm system certifications. Long term tenants have included Home Depot, Asplundh and Rentokil (London Stock Exchange, member of FTSE index).
